I was weirdly sheltered as a kid; the first time I saw anything ‘violent’ was something that scarred me for life, so I have a weird relationship with gratuitous violence/gore/horror. I’ve always been fascinated with human bodies and anatomy, but I think there is a difference between a flesh fixation and gore ^____^
